Abstract. Carrot Cercospora blight occurrence was lower on fields without carrot for more than eight years in comparison with fields on which carrot was grown two or three years before. The disease was also decreased by spraying of plants with fungicides or other chemicals.

The influence of some selected factors on decrease
of carrot disease occurrence

Summary

The aim of the work was assessment of the carrot diseases occurrence in dependence of crop rotation and plant chemical treatments. In the years 2004-2006 on carrot ‘Joba’ Cercospora blight the occurrence was lower on fields without carrot for more than eight years in comparison with fields on which carrot was grown two or three years before. Spraying of plants in 2006 with fungicides (Amistar 250 SC, Bravo Plus 500 SC) or other chemicals (Biosept 33 SL, Grevit 200 SL) also decreased the disease occurrence.
